Take the worry out of making detailed hire and insurance arrangements yourself! If you are not sure of your specific needs, we can provide a comprehensive contract solution with an emphasis on safety:

  • We will visit your site to assess the lift operation.
  • We supply you with "Risk Assessment" and detailed "Method Statement" documentation.
  • We appoint CPCS qualified operator(s) and a qualified Lifting Supervisor.

If an individual or organisation does not have the necessary expertise in lifting operations they should choose Contract Lifting Services. Here's the difference:

CRANE HIRE

The hiring individual or organisation requiring a load to be lifted must:

  • Carry out all work as per British Standard 7121 'Safe use of cranes' and LOLER (Lifting Operation & Lifting Equipment Regulations).
  • Supply a qualified Appointed Person.
  • Assess correct craneage requirements.
  • Have adequate and appropriate insurance cover.
  • Write a method statement, risk assessment, lifting plan etc to ensure the lift is carefully planned and carried out.
  • Check the credentials and certifications of the crane hire company.

CONTRACT LIFTING

A hirer who wants a lift to be undertaken but does not have the relevant expertise should ask us to undertake a contract lift. We will:

  • Carry out all work as per British Standard 7121 'Safe use of cranes' and LOLER (Lifting Operation & Lifting Equipment Regulations).
  • Supply the Appointed Person, lift supervisors and slinger / signallers.
  • Supply suitable craneage and Insurance cover as per CPA Contract Lift Terms & Conditions.
  • Write a method statement, risk assessment, lifting plan etc to ensure the lift is carefully planned and carried out.
  • Organise and control the lifting operation.

A contract lifting scenario enables the customer to contract out the complete lifting operation, relieving him of responsibility.
