Southern Cranes accredited

We have been busy at Southern Cranes & Access, ensuring we are keeping up with the rigorous standards demanded by the industry. During the first half of this year we have received accreditation from Link-up, UVDB and CHAS. This means major clients (Southern Rail, EDF, and many more) can be confident of the quality of our work, and the safety of our methods.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers who provide goods and services. It also enables organisations to locate suitably competent suppliers.

Southern Cranes & Access is accredited by CHAS, so you can be sure we’ll be safe and follow good working practices when we’re at work.

Link up

Link-up is the UK Rail industry supplier qualification and verification scheme, designed to assure the quality of products and services bought by the rail industry.

We have fulfilled Network Rail’s criteria to be 'Link-up' approved and are therefore able to supply our full range of services - from access equipment, temporary roadways, mobile cranes and transport - either as general hire or contract lift services to the rail industry.

In 2010 Southern Cranes & Access Ltd passed the Link up audit. We retain our accreditation from Link up.

The Utilities Vendor Database

The Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) pre-qualifies suppliers and contractors under various headings. There are over 900 standard codes and 2500 standard keywords used and controlled by the Utilities.

Southern Cranes & Access is now fully registered as a supplier on the Utilities Vendor Database to provide “Mobile Plant Hire Services”.

The Utilities Vendor database is managed by Achilles. Learn more about UVDB from their web-site: www.achilles.com
