Southern Cranes & Access operate a fleet of Hoeflon spider cranes, also known as compact cranes or mini-crawlers. Spider cranes or mini crawler cranes are a popular choice for glazing specialists, railway contractors and domestic lifting projects. Spider cranes are compact and manoeuvrable. They can be easily transported and lifted into back gardens with some models fitting through garden gates, making them ideal for working on cladding or glazing projects, or for hot tub installations.

We have selected the Hoeflon product range for our spider crane hire service based on customer, engineer, and operator feedback - as well as Hoeflon’s unique operating capabilities. Hoeflon were the first manufacturer in the spider crane market with infinite outrigger positioning.

Our selection includes diesel, bi-energy and fully electric models, meaning that we can provide mini crane hire options that are perfect for low emission areas and Clean Air Zones. Our fully electric machines can carry out a full day’s work on one overnight charge!
