Once again, Southern Cranes were contracted to assist with the event breakdown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed – lifting some very precious metal!

Southern Cranes are delighted to announce that it has collected another three brand new Grove GMK3060L mobile cranes from Manitowoc Cranes in Buckingham.

Southern Cranes are delighted to announce that they are the headline sponsor for the UK's Strongest Man 2024, taking place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June at Vindico Arena, Cardiff.

The show will be broadcast LIVE on Channel 5, 2pm-5pm on both days – a world first for Strongman, which historically has always appeared on TV screens several months later.

Southern Cranes has added 10 new Grove all-terrain cranes to support its ongoing growth strategy and update the fleet of mobile cranes.

Southern Cranes is already very familiar with the GMK5250XL-1, having been the first in the UK to receive this model. The GMK5150XL is a new addition to the fleet and will bring increased work opportunities to the company. The GMK3060L-1 is also a new model for Southern Cranes which will serve alongside several existing GMK3060 cranes in the fleet.

Southern Cranes & Access takes tyre protection to new heights with Wheely-Safe technology, reducing tyre-related downtime and improving safety

It has specified Wheely-Safe’s external TPMS sensors, which replace the valve cap and auto-pair with an in-cab solar receiver. Ideal for larger vehicles, the heavy vehicle TPMS sensors are suitable for inflation pressures of up to 188 psi.

Our new Spierings SK597-AT4 eLift is arriving next week. The SK597-AT4 eLift is the newest generation of the Spierings hydraulic mobile tower crane with four axles and this crane can operate 100% emission free.

We are delighted to welcome the arrival of our Magni RTH 6.35 Roto Telehandler in all its new livery with the Magni RTH 6.30 arriving very soon too!

This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrated 75 years of Porsche motor cars. Southern Cranes were hired by Littlehampton Welding to erect this year’s stunning centrepiece sculpture which featured six examples of different Porsche models from different eras and backgrounds.

We also used various telehandlers and telescopic booms to assist with a variety of lifts in and around the show ground.
